This is the weekend for music. And for all varieties. There's classical here, there's classical at the Badruka music school inauguration, there's classical at Keyes, and there's rock at TI. Should be enough to satiate many an appetite, shouldn't it?
The Subrahmanya Sangeetha Kshetra is organizing a 3-day festival of music in memory of Sangeetha Kalanidhi Late Chittoor Subramanyam. Dr Haripriya Rangarajan, the first lady of the state, will inaugurate this function, and will release a cassette titled Saraswathi Namasthubhyam, composed and sung by Revathi Ratnaswamy. On this event, Kalaimani Paruru M S Anantaraman will also be felicitated.
On the second day K Sriram Gangadhar and party from Chennai will present a classical vocal recital. And on the concluding day, Revathi Ratnaswamy and party will present a vocal recital followed by a Kuchipudi dance recital by Hima Bindu and party.
