The 16th edition of the European Union film festival will be held from March to May in 7 cities of India: Mumbai, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai and Thrissur. 19 films that focus on the theme of comedy, with the slogan "Laugh Like a European", comprise the festivals line-up.
In Hyderabad, it is being held from 23rd March to 3rd April. The inaugural ceremony and screening on 23rd March will be held at the Prasads multiplex (IMAX), and the subsequent screenings will be held at the Prasad Labs Preview Theatre. The schedule is as follows:

The European Union Film Festival in India is a result of the collaboration between EU Member States and Indian organizations including the Federation of Film Societies of India, National Centre for Performing Arts (Mumbai), India Habitat Centre (New Delhi), Cine Central Calcutta (Kolkata), Indo-Cine Appreciation Foundation (Chennai), Thrissur Chalachitra Kendram and Corporation of Thrissur.
