11th Anniversary Of Aradhana: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR 11TH ANNIVERSARY OF ARADHANA

On the occasion of its 12th anniversary, Aradhana is felicitating and presenting some senior personalities with its annual awards, on 31st August, at Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. The evening starts with a recital of Annamacharya sankeetanas by P Lavanya, a television newsreader, followed by the awards nite.

This year's recipients:

1. The U Subbaraya Sarma sponsored U D Prasad Memorial Cash Award of Rs. 1,116 will be conferred upon Dr. Potturi Venkateshwara Rao, senior journalist

2. The Tunga Shiva Prabhat Reddy of Nellore sponsored Tunga Rajagopal Reddy Memorial Cash Award of Rs. 1,116 will be given to N Taraka Rama Rao, playwright

3. The Javvadi Cultural Trust of Nidadavolu sponsored Javvadi Theatre Cash Award of Rs. 1,116 will be given to Mohd. Rafi, theatre critic

4. The Javvadi Anuradha Murthy and Javvadi Prithviraj sponsored award will be given to M V Rama Rao, theater, radio and TV actor & director

5. The Aaradhana-Sangeeta Sanman Award will be given to R Anasuya Murthy, Carnatic vocalist

The guests for the evening are C Damodara Rajanarasimham (Minister For Education), Rudraraju Padmaraju (Member of Rajya Sabha), P Vijayababu (senior journalist), Dr. K V Krishna Kumari (writer), Dr. Pavuloori Shivaramaiah (children specialist, Chilakaluripeta), Dr. Sangam Divya Sunitha (Administrator, Neo-Educational Organisation) and Swapna (Program Head of Big FM).
