Even God knew that godliness was next to impossible, and so he paved the way there with lots of fun. And as one of the biggest festivals is here, celebrations in various places start well in advance and are scheduled to complete their full course in style.
The Bangiya Sanskritik Sangha of Secunderabad regularly organizes cultural programs in the twin cities, and is this time organizing weeklong programs with Durga Puja for its members and others, too. During the period the organizers plan to conduct various programs including music, dance, rangoli, alpana, drawing and painting competitions. Each day there will be a different cultural item in the evening.
The traditional "Jatrapala" and musical nites by Mumbai- and Kolkala-based groups will be presented during the occasion. The "Dandiya" dance will be the highlight of the festival. Anyone interested can take part in puja and cultural programs.
