Sri Chaitanya Arts Theatre is presenting the Kuchipudi Rangapravesam of Sri Hasanti, on 10th January, at the Ravindra Bharathi auditorium. D S V Sastry with the nattuvangam and vocal, Rajagopalachary on the mridangam, Rayaprolu Sudhakar on the veena and V B S Murali on the flute will provide musical support to the performamce.
Sri Hasanti will start the recital with a Puja Nrityam, which will be followed by Ganesha Pancharatna and Raja Rajeshwari Ashtakam in Ragamalika ragam, a Jatiswaram in Athana ragam, Dashavataram in Kalyani ragam and Mohana ragam, Tillana in Hindola ragam, Tarangam in Shankarabharana ragam, Annamayya's Kulukaga Nadavaro in Athana ragam, Bhama Kalapam in Bhairavi ragam, and finally the Mangalam.
Sri Hasanti is a 7th standard student of St. Ann's Girls School, Vijayanagar Colony, and is the daughter of K Kishore and K Sudha. A disciple of Urvashi Satish, she started dance at a very tender age. She is also good in Bharatanatyam and Kathak dances. With good facial expressions and footwork, she has made a name for herself in the field of dance, in a very short period of time.
Sri Hasanti has been conferred upon several awards and titles, such as Bala Natya Mayuri, Bala Natya Jyothi, Kathak Kiran, Nritya Kinnera, Nrityasri, Bala Prabha, Nritya Mayuri, Bala Kalanidhi and Nritya Praveena. She was also awarded the title of Bala Medhavi during the 15th International Film Festival, and the Ugadi Puraskar and Bala Ratna awards from the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. She has participated in the Winter Fest at Himachal Pradesh, International Dance Festivals in Orissa and Punjab, and the Kuchipudi Nrityotsav at the Kuchipudi Kalakshetra.
