REVIEW FOR FRENCH CLASSICAL MUSIC CONCERT BY TRIO Ã VENT
The Alliance Francaise and the Taj Banjara, with the support of the French Embassy in India, are presenting a classical music concert by Trio à Vent, a wind trio from France, on 28th March, at the Taj Banjara.
Trio à Vent was formed from the quintet A Vent... Propos, a well-known chamber music ensemble from Lyon, with more than 200 performances to its credit since its inception in 1999, in France as well as abroad.
This wind trio is a group that is as original as the instruments that compose it: Fabien Bernoud on the oboe, Richard Malblanc on the clarinet and Henri Roman on the bassoon. They have a repertoire ranging from classical (Mozart, Beethoven) to contemporary music with a predilection for the late 19th century and early 20th century French music. Their force lies in the original compositions and the wide repertory of their music.
The musicians of Trio à Vent regularly perform with the most prestigious French orchestras such as Lyon Opera, Orchestre de Paris, Ensemble Orchestral de Paris and Savoie Orchestra, and have been amply rewarded for their solid experience in chamber music with several international awards like the Concours de Marseille and Concours de Martigny. The Trio à Vent has recently performed in various concerts during the French Chamber Music seasons, and will perform at the Music Festival this year in August 2008.
The entry to the concert is free. Please contact Alliance Francaise at 2770-0734/2770-0736 for further details.
