A mere drop in the ocean, did you say? Contrary, thinks Y Bharadwaj, who, in memory
of his late father, established the Yaragudipati Ramajogi Memorial Trust in 1978
to provide monetary assistance to meritorious students. But when the recipients
are just four boys and four girls, doesn't a sum of between Rs. 300 and Rs. 500
(depending on the percentage of marks that they have secured) per student indeed
seem like a drop? Well, perhaps the way to look at it is that four boys and four
girls are getting Rs. 300 - Rs. 500 each, instead of not.
The evening will also have the arangetram of Swetha, a quasi-disciple of
Shobha Naidu, and the voice of Padmini, all for gratis. P R Rama Chandra Rao,
a retired Sr Advocate of Supreme Court, will preside.
So if awards and a cultural evening make for a heady cocktail, contact Y Bharadwaja
