It's a kid performing at Shilparamam this Sunday. Then, maybe it's not.
Shilparamam, as part of its weekly program of music and dance, is presenting a Carnatic vocal recital by G Sai Sindhu, today. Sindhu, along with Nagamalleswar Rao on the violin and Subrahmanyam on the mridangam, will start with Vathapi Ganapathim in Hamsadhwani raagam, followed by Shobillu Saptaswara in Jagan Mohini raagam, Bantureethi Koluvu in Hamsa Naada raagam, Ambavani Nannu Aadarinchave in Keeravani raagam, Srimannarayana in Bhouli raagam, Anni Mantramulu in Amruthavarshini raagam, Venkatachala Nilayam in Sindhu Bhairavi raagam, and a couple of other keertanas.
Sai Sindhu is studying Architecture at Sri Venkateshwara College of Architecture. She was a disciple of Dr Nookala Chinna Satyanarayana for 11 years, and is at present under Jayamani Narasimham. She's completed her Diploma in Carnatic Music from the Potti Sriramulu Telugu University. She was a holder of the Central Scholarship for 6 years. She even secured a gold medal from the TTD Tirupati for 3 years, and from Annamacharya Bhavana Vahini once. She has given concerts in Tirupati and Khammam, besides innumerable ones in Hyderabad.
