Can you imagine a cop releasing a Dongala Bandi? This one has the biggest
one of 'em all doing it. And in full public glare, too. And if you don't think
that is anything interesting, there's a good lot of other people here to laugh
at, too. Ones you've been laughing at for ages now. And even if that gets a thumbs-down
from you, then you've got some good 'ol Telugu theater.
The Jolly Friends Cultural Association is a cultural organization that is generally into hosting programs like felicitations for people who're known - Soundarya and Nagarjuna are some examples. They are also actively involved in book releasing functions and in organizing playlets.
The Association is today organizing one such event, where Sankara Manchi Parthasarathy,
a renowned writer of playlets, will have 4 of his books released by DGP H J Dora.
All four books are comedy playlets, and are named Dongala Bandi, Prasannaki
Prematho, Abbey Emiledu and Silence Please! The writer is dedicating
the books to Dora. Dora is basically a lover of art and literature, and ensures
that his presence is felt in almost every literary program that he attends by
displaying his talent in the literary areas.
The day's program will conclude with the enacting on stage of a playlet 'Abbey
Emiledu' by the artists of Jolly Friends Cultural Association. To entertain
the audiences, the organization is roping in Rajendra Prasad, Brahmanandam, Tanikella
Bharani, Relangi Narasimha Rao and Vamshi to attend.
