REVIEW FOR 26TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS OF VASISTHA CULTURAL ASSOCIATION
The Vasistha Cultural Association, on its 26th anniversary, is organizing a cultural program on 12th May, at Sri Thyagaraja Gana Sabha. The program will begin with a prayer song by M Balarama Krishna, and will be followed by a Veda Swasti (a reading from the Vedas) by M Venkataram Sarma. The chief guest for this program is Dr. S Ratnakar, retd. HoD at NIMS. There will be a musical program by Raghuram & party, and a Kuchipudi dance recital by P Sowjanya, the disciple of Dr. Uma Rama Rao.
There will also be a book release program by the organization - the name of the book is Hindu Vivaaha Prasasyam, and it is written by N Divya Mallikarjuna Sarma.
The Vasistha Cultural Association is a 26-year-old organization found by Dr. M R K Dilip Kumar. It has organized many cultural programs till date, and its activities include funding marriages of poor people, samoohika upanayanams, giving free books to poor children, and renovations of old temples.
