The Department Of Information Technology, Mahatma Gandhi Institute Of Technology, is presenting its annual national-level technical symposium, Yukti 2008, on 7th & 8th March, at the college campus in Gandipet. This 2-day symposium will feature both technical and fun events, as below:
Paper Presentation
This event provides participants with the perfect platform to showcase their ideas and get into the limelight. There are prizes worth Rs. 60,000 - Rs. 30,000 for the winner, Rs. 20,000 for the 2nd placed competitor and Rs. 10,000 for the 3rd. The topics for presentation are:
Information Security
Data Warehousing & Mining
Ethical Hacking
Digital Image Processing & Embedded Systems
Artificial Intelligence & Neural Networks
...and any other topic related to computer science.
Poster Presentation
The topics are same as those for paper presentation.
Mock Campus Recruitment
This event consists of two phases: Personal Interview and Group Discussion.
Feedback sessions will form part of each mock personal interview, so that the candidate can implement the suggestions and incorporate the feedback for later mock interviews.
The Group Discussion exercise is designed to test the candidate's ability to act as a leader and a team player. The Mock GD is conducted to ensure that the candidates gain confidence and overcome their misgivings, which will help them to hone their skills and polish their performances.
Technical Quiz
Feel the power of questions. Answer them and emerge triumphant. The winner pockets Rs. 5,000, and the runner-up Rs. 2,500.
LAN Gaming
This event is for everyone with a love for gaming and fun. There are a plethora of games waiting to be played.
Technical Collage
