The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of CBIT is organising the Technopreneurial Summit 2007 (T-Summit 2008), a national technology-entrepreneurship conference of the Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology (CBIT), on 8th March at the Taramati Baradari Complex, and on 10th & 11th March at the CBIT campus.

T-Summit 2008 is a celebration of technology based entrepreneurship. The aim of the event is to make engineering and applied science students cognizant of the opportunities in entrepreneurship.

The T-Summit Team, with support from EDC, wishes to remove the myths surrounding entrepreneurship, and make technology students consider it as a career choice. This event also aims at making the student participants aware of intrapreneurship, and concentrates on the development of such skills in an individual.

The first 2 days of T-Summit 2007 bring together the best engineering and applied science brains to Hyderabad, and pit them against each other in a myriad of events designed to test their entrepreneurial abilities, as below:

Ad-Venture
Participants are required to create an advertisement for a product given to them in two written media out of the possible ones. They are allowed to choose any two media among newspapers, pamphlets, SMS, hoardings and banners. Every medium of the advertisement has its own restrictions. This is an elimination round, and only the best will move on to participate in the next one. They also have to create a tag line for the given product.

Logical Scan
In this round, the participant has to clear an aptitude test which is generally of half an hour. This round is to test the logical reasoning capability of the participants.

Chanakya - The Quiz
This is the final part, with 4 teams clashing in a series of rounds. Questions on current affairs, general knowldge on world business and trade are the primary ones asked in this round.

iDeate
This is designed to help technopreneurs (anyone with an innovative technological concept, idea or plan of a new product or process is a technopreneur) communicate and organize their concepts... a critical step towards future success.
