Another offering from Mumbai's theater world, Uncle Samjha Karo, like its predecessors is a comedy of chaos. Mistaken identities, miserly uncles and a will hanging in the balance; it has all that plus a lot of familiar faces from television donning the face-paint.
The play is a story of Vishal, the nephew of an unbelievably stingy man. To wrangle money out of his uncle, who lives in another country, Vishal makes up a lie. He tells his uncle he's married, which is messy enough to manage, but when the uncle drops in to check up on him, things begin to fall comically apart.
Uncle Samjha Karo is directed by Paritosh Painter and stars Vrajesh Hirjee, Manv Gohil, Sweta Kawatra Ballu and Rohini. The play is being staged in the city as part of the Lion's Club Secunderabad's charity drive.
