The Telugu Talli Awards: Events in Hyderabad

The Telugu Talli Awards is an event that took place on 23-Mar-2001 in Hyderabad.

Just when you concluded that these folks had decided that they would concentrate
on felicitating bureaucrats and political leaders, you see a new side to them.
They are diversifying to film stars as well.

The 5th anniversary of the Megacity Navakala Vedika has it instituting a new award for the Telugu film industry. These are called the Telugu Talli film awards, and are being given to the outstanding film industry performers of 2000. Interestingly, there are no mega stars here, but when was the last time that any mega star turned in an award winning performance? This is a partial list of the awards:

Best Film: Manoharam

Best Message-Oriented Film: Vijayaramaraju

Best Actor: Srihari (Vijayaramaraju)

Best Actress: Laya (Manoharam)

Best Director: E V V Satyanarayana (Ammo
