An ecstatic show of Euphoric Sufi mysticism and graceful Kathak. Multiple Sclerosis Society of India is bringing to Hyderabad an extravaganza event. A show of mystical and unique school of dance called the Sufi Kathak performed by the creator of the dance herself, Manjari Chaturvedi. The atmosphere sure is going to be nothing short of euphoric.

Manjari, classical Kathak danseuse and a performing artist for over a decade, with her enchanting stage presence has earned acclamation for her intense, sensitive and graceful Kathak presentations.

In her efforts to rediscover Kathak from its classical form Manjari has introduced the mystique of Sufism. Akin to the moving meditation of the whirling dervishes in Sufi tradition, her unique dance style called Sufi Kathak is representative of the great Sufi traditions of the sub continent.

The dance gradually becomes ecstatic...the synchronization of movements with music...the beats are joined with clapping of hands...in praise of the Beauty of the Soul.

The Multiple Sclerosis Society of India was established in 1985. The society is dedicated to minimizing the effects of Multiple Sclerosis, both on patients and their families, by aiding and assisting them in coping with the disease and meeting the challenges of daily living. The society is also actively involved in raising awareness about the disease.
