The department of Civil Engineering at JNTU College Of Engineering is organising its annual national level technical symposium Sthapatya '10, on 30th & 31st March, at the college campus in Kukatpally. The 2-day technical rendezvous offers the students an insight into diverse fields in civil engineering, aiming to encourage them to unveil their aptitude & appetite for practical problems.

There are various events that are part of this festival:

Paper Presentation

This event provides a perfect platform to showcase one's innovative thoughts. Participants who qualify in the preliminary elimination round based on the evaluation of their paper shall be eligible for the finals.

CAD Contest

This is a designing contest where participants will be provided with a sketch that they must design on the CAD program.

Concrete Testing

In this event, participants are required to test the strength of the different concretes provided and present their the results.

Debate

Participants are required to prove their point on a subject, with the right arguments.

Disha

The treasure hunt requires are basic map reading skills, use of surveying equipments and aptitude.

Innovative Design

Test your creative talent and innovation by building models. Participants are required to build a model within a stipulated time using the given materials. The theme will provided on the spot by the Sthapatya team.

Main Quiz

The quiz will test participants' knowledge in all major areas of civil engineering and current affairs. 5 teams will make it to the finals based on a a written test.
