This summer, Daram is introducing a wide range of garments for women in Kora fabrics. The textures, among others, include self-stripes, self-checks, khadi and slub. Women can choose from a wide range of sarwar-kameez, saris and tops.
Kora is an off-white colour fabric, the natural colour of cotton. The fabric is used mostly in summer and gives a cool effect to the body. It is mostly hand-woven, but nowadays, it is also machine-made on power looms. It comes in self-designs without any colours.
Daram a store dedicated exclusively to garments made from handloom fabric. An initiative of Dastkar Andhra (DA), the Dastkar Andhra Marketing Association (DAMA) and partner co-operatives, it is an effort to promote the handloom process/
