If you carry your third eye in your foot like Bhrigu, better watch out for respectful masseurs.
The Kala Ranjani Cultural Organization is presenting the staging of the mythological drama Venkateswara Mahatyam. Directed by K Ramanuja Rao and organised by K Chalapathi Rao, the play starts with Lord Vishnu reposing on Adisesha, with Mahalakshmi sitting at his feet. Sage Bhrigu arrives at the scene, but goes unnoticed by Vishnu. The sage gets infuriated, and kicks Lord Vishnu on his chest, the place where Mahalakshmi is said to reside.
Vishnu apologises to the angry sage, and even massages his feet, to allay the pain caused to him. In doing so Vishnu removes the eye from the foot of the sage, which gave him power to defy even the devas.
