Crime novels are better read than explored to lectures, but if you never caught on to them anyway, Alliance Francaise's Soiree lecture is a great way to get started. Famous French sleuths, hounds and private-eyes are paraded before you without their cover-ups, and you get to know what went into their making and their unmaking, their signets and their style, their most famous coups.
Arsene Lupin, Maigret, Fabio Montale, "Le Poulpe", Nestor Burma and many more, creations of thriller authors such as Maurice Leblanc, Georges Simenon, Jean-Claude Izzo, Jean-Bernard Pouy and Leo Malet. Students of Alliance Francaise will also read extracts from the various detective novels.
The lecture will start on the 21st April at 1800 hrs. Please contact 2770-0734, 2770-0736 for further details.
