Junoon II - Acting Workshop By Sutradhar: Events in Hyderabad

REVIEW FOR JUNOON II - ACTING...

For those who missed the first edition of the theatre workshop Junoon by Suthradhar, here's great news. Suthradhar is conducting Junoon-II from 5th September to 6th September. The timings of the workshop are 9am to 1pm.

The workshop introduces acting to those not familiar with the art. Vinay Varma (founder of Sutradhar) and Prof. Bhaskar Shewalkar will teach participants the nuances of theatre acting. The workshop will concentrate on mime, voice, rhythm, speech and movements. Some acting and theatre games also form part of the workshop.

Vinay Varma is a seasoned actor with over 25 years of experience in theatre and film. He has acted in several films, including Mukbhir, 16th December, Beeper (English), and more recently, a Telugu film called Veedi - The Street. Sutradhar was founded by him in 1996, as a platform to promote new talent in acting, writing and direction fields.

Prof. Bhaskar Shewalkar has an experience of 50 years in theatre, and specializes in theatre education for kids. He was the Head of the Department For Theatre Arts at Hyderabad Central University.
