The supernatural merges with the natural and the sensual, with a sacred breath, at the paintings exhibition organised by ICONART Gallery, and is aptly named Sacred Breath. The display is on from 22nd August to 12th September, from 11am to 7pm.
Sacred Breath is a collection of abstract paintings with spiritual content, by 13 artists. The paintings depict meditative and metaphysical processes, with content ranging from philosophy, divination and mandalas, to geometry and organic nature forms. They reflect abstract practices - spiritual, ethereal, healing, and mystical - with variations in application and process. The depictions also bind some age-old concepts with new age idioms, connecting the self and the world. In other words, the paintings depict each artist's meaning of spirituality in a unique way.
The artists being showcased are Deepak Sonar, Jeet Aulakh, Anil Gaikwad, Pramod Gaikwad, Srinath V, Raghu Neware, Sweety Joshi, Siraj Saxena, Sarla Chandra, A M Murali, Dhirendra Mandge, Ramesh Kher and Suresh Kumar, and the exhibition is curated by Avani Rao Gandra.
Entry is free for everyone. Please contact Avani Rao Gandra at 98499-68797 for further details.
