The Department Of Culture is presenting a Kuchipudi dance ballet called Shiva Eva Guruh, on 12th July, at the Ravindra Bharathi auditorium. Shiva Eva Guruh deals with the Shiva Shakti Tatva, choreographed in three segments. The feature stresses upon the balance of the masculine and the feminine powers.
The first segment deals with Shiva and Parvati in their roles as creaters - the Purusha and the Prakriti - and the second segment depicts the destructive aspect or the samhaara swarupas of Kaala Bhairava and the Mahakali. The third and final segment deals with the Artha Nariswara Tatva, and finally the guru form of Sri Dhaskina Murthy.
The music direction is by Sweta Prasad, and the dance has been choreographed by Anupama Kailash, who is performing this ballet along with her disciples. The chief guest for the ballet is Dr. Shobha Naidu, Padmasri and a renowned Kuchipudi exponent. The timings of the event are 6pm to 9pm.
The entry is free for everyone. Please contact Anupama Kailash at 98482-37538 for further details.
