The Sarasavani is the combination of the Sarod, the Veena and the Sitar. That's amazing - we didn't know that the three were different (we are a bunch of computer nerds to whom the concept of a three-in-one is a CD/DVD/MP3 player). Well, we are going down a shame spiral and feel quite mortified.
And that's why you will find us at Shilparammam on the 6th, listening to the creator of the Sarasavani, Subhash Chandra Ghosh, as he plays the 'melodies of the white lotus'. An evening of divine entertainment that the Department Of Tourism has arranged.
