Corporate cricket seems to be the order of the day now as yuppies shed their ties and exchange computer mice for gloves and bats. YUPES ( Young Urban Professional Entertainment Services) hits the scene with the SAAP Corporate Cricket Tournament 2006. Nearly 40 teams are expected with biggies like Tata, Satyam, IBM, Tata Indicom, Taj Banjara, Times Of India and MAA TV already on board.
Matches will be conducted only on Saturdays and Sundays, starting the 11th of March. 20 over matches lasting 3 hrs at the rate of 3 per day will be played. Look out for highlights of the show on TV or in newspapers. While coffee, snacks and coke will be available for the players, onlookers can buy refreshments from the stalls at the venue which is Lal Bahadur Stadium.
