At Celebrity Club
The Celebrity Club, in association with the Denzil Cricket Academy, is organizing a month-long residential cricket coaching camp. The camp is to be held at the Club's premises at Shamirpet. Many former Ranji Trophy players will impart the coaching along with other NIS qualified coaches.
Denzil J Balm, a veteran cricket player who coached the Hyderabad state under-16 team in 1997, runs the Denzil Cricket Academy. Started in the year 1983, the academy (then known as Khalden's Clinic) has produced fine cricketers like Noel Dravid and V V S Laxman at the national level, Parth Satvalkar and Pawan Kumar at the state level, Taufeeq Quadri and Vineel Urooj at the junior state level, and many more in the state and junior state level.
The academy has been successful in conducting major cricket events many times. These events include the Netlon, a national level cricket tournament for all the schools in India, and the Boost cricket tournament for the local schools in Hyderabad, over a long period of time.
The residential cricket coaching camp is open for children between the ages of 10 and 15 years. The trainees will have to stay in the Club's premises for the entire duration of the camp. All the required arrangements will be made by the club. The trainees will be given thorough coaching for the game along with being administered regular physical fitness programs like swimming etc. For adequate safety, security and individual attention, a full-time coach and a manager will be stationed along with the trainees.
