Like all regulars here know by now, the Madhu Music Academy, founded by Madhusudan Rao in April 2000, organizes musical programs on the 25th of every month. And the philosophy behind the organization is quite interesting. Rao says music can cure any type of ailment can be cured - it has such wonderful healing power. "When presented in its perfect form, apart from having listeners mesmerized, it helps the heart, too."
Today it's going to be a Rafi and Ghantasala nite, the most frequent program. "Hyderabadis are quite fond of their songs," he says. The intentions, apart from being salubrious, are honorable as well. There is no commercial motive behind arranging these shows, these folks just want to create an energetic and joyful atmosphere.
The evening will have Rao present 7-8 hit songs of Mohammed Rafi, and Sharat Chandra about 15 songs of Ghantasala.
