A boisterous dance like the Bhangra needs some real pow in the body to outlast it. And where do you think the Punjabi gets that from? Ginger Court brings you a feast as lavish as that of the Gauls in the little village, minus the boars and plus the Roghan Ghosht. With 50 dishes, and still counting, anybody who does justice to it will have added a pound of beef to be worked off dancing the Bhangra the next day. Sample the menu:
Live counter: Chaat items, burfis, sweets etc.
Live Tawa: Pathar Ka Ghosht, Tava Gurda, Tava Kaleja, Tava Bheja, Tava Biryani etc.
Salads: 3-4
Starters: 4 Veg + 4 Non Veg.
Rotis: Makki Ki Roti, Rumali Roti, Tandoori etc.
Dal: Dal Makhni, Paneer Dahiwala, Veg Korma etc.
Rice: Steamed rice, Lucknowi Biryani.
Main dishes: 3 Veg + 4 Non Veg.
Desserts: Ice-cream, Rabdi etc.
The buffet may be a killer but the prices aren't. For Rs.250 + taxes per-head, you get all the above plus a free Pepsi or alcohol, whichever you prefer. 1 pint of Beer, or 1 small peg of Smirnoff, or 1 small peg of VAT 69 is on the house for the first round. And if you continue with your drinks, they won't let you off without the Patiala Peg. It's buy one and get one free from thereon!
If you are impressed enough by this incredible show of Punjabi style hospitality by Ginger Court, the buffet is on from 1900 hrs on everyday. It is unfortunately for just one meal in the day, which means you might have to starve to work up the appetite to try everything. For more details, please contact 2311-3711.
