Budding talent in strong supply. That is what you can expect to find at an exhibition by a college of fine-arts. Invest early, for who knows which one of these will turn out to be tomorrow's MF Hussain?
Scout for the choicest picks in this exhibition of no less than 260 water-colors, basic drawings, portraits, landscapes, photographs, lino-cuts, wood-cuts, still-lifes, chalks-and-charcoals, and whatever else these youngsters can find use for to convey their artistic impulses. The students of Sri Venkateshwara are best known for their water-colors, but who knows, they might reveal further mutations this time and bring you stained glass to give the 14th century Italian masters some competition.
All five years students, about 200 in all, will be displaying their work in this exhibition that's held every anniversary of the college. The paintings are priced between Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 7, 000 and have sold hotly in the past. For more details, please contact 3091-3922.
