The more creative an IQ test test gets, the more you have a chance to ace it. This IQ test by Eduranet does a lot more than get you to predict the next in a sequence of abstract symbols that give you a headache. Naah, that one is for monkeys and toddlers. These tests are creative enough to assess how civilized you are!
The first round in which around 50 schools with one 2-member team each, took part, yielded 25 schools that qualified for the second. This tested written, visual, verbal and suchlike skills which get flogged further, later on in life, as GREs, CATs and ICETs become important.
These 25 schools will clash tomorrow in the semi-finals to be held at JNTU. The two areas here are Performance Assessment and Creative Talents. In Performance Assessment, the students will be asked to speak, debate and answer questions on pre-chosen topics like friendship and habits, technological boom, communication skills, effectiveness of media, travel and safety etc. As for Creative Talents, they will be asked to make decisions and answer questions on the spot, based on certain visuals they will be shown.
Round 3 to be held in December declares five winning schools that will be awarded a title declaring them the smartest school-goers of all, in the city of Hyderabad. Cash prizes are stapled to the title of course.
Eduranet or the Educational research and Academic Network is an organisation working to infuse the more germane skills required in today's world, into the educational systems followed by schools. They have developed a comprehensive system which includes testing methods, and thus the IQ test. For more details, please contact 2356-4249.
