Goethe-Zentrum is organising Peas Vs Pills, a workshop designed to empower participants to reclaim responsibility for their health. A preview of this workshop was organized at the Goethe Zentrum on 13th Nov. The workshop will start at 9:30am at the International School Of Hyderabad, and will last till 5:30pm. Proceeds from the workshop will be donated to SHARAN (Sanctuary For Health And Reconnection To Animals And Nature), an NGO spreading awareness about ecologically sustainable lifestyles.
Dr. Nandita Shah's Peas vs. Pills is a workshop to help you take responsibility for your own health, and prevent and reverse illnesses, including heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, cancer, digestive problems, menstrual and menopausal problems, joint pains and backaches, and psychological problems, through an understanding of the human anatomy, psychology and nature's laws. Participants will learn to listen to their bodies and respond accordingly, and to prepare tasty meals that heal. In the workshop, the following topics will be discussed:
1. Health, disease and the scope of medicines
2. What is the healthiest diet for our species?
3. Why do foods we eat today cause disease?
4. What will the results of diet change be?
5. How are diet and stress related?
6. What is the relation between diet and our environment?
7. How do we manage the transition to a new diet without missing foods that we are used to?
8. How do we handle social situations regarding health?
Dr. Shah has been practising homeopathy in India for over 25 years, and over the past 4 years, she has presented her workshops in India, Ireland, Italy, Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Switzerland, inspiring people to make dietary and lifestyle changes that result in positive health. She has been helping her patients get off medication for short-term & long-term health problems, and believes in putting the responsibility of health back in their hands and back to Nature's wisdom, where it should be.
Goethe Zentrum is conducting this event in collaboration with SHARAN, Bean Me Up, the Blue Cross, Channel 6, and the International School of Hyderabad, and is being supported by Kalpavruksha.
Those interested can register by paying Rs. 1,800. The amount covers breakfast, lunch and a snack (all meals will be strictly vegetarian), and workshop material. Any dietary restrictions that you may have must be communicated prior to the session.
