You'd like to be there anyway with a friend or loved one in your evenings. This week, though, the lawns of Ravindra Bharathi have much more to offer.
The Department of Culture is organising a 5-day festival of Padya Natakams at the Ghantasala lawns of Ravindra Bharathi, from 23rd to 27th April. Ten dramas will be performed during these five days by artistes from all over the state, as below:
23rd April
6:30pm - Pandava Vijayalu, by M Y Naidu and Kuriti Satyam Naidu from Hyderabad
8:00pm - Balanagamma, by P Venugopala Rao of Surabhi, Medak
24th April
6:30pm - Srikrishna Tulabaram, by Jamuna Rayulu of Surabhi, Hyderabad
8:00pm - Chintamani, by B C Krishna and K Kutumba Rao of Kurnool
25th April
6:30pm - Satya Harischandra, by K Mangala Devi of Parvatipuram
8:00pm - Srikrishna Rayabaram, by Kilaru Laxmi of Srikakulam
26th April
6:30pm - Srikrishna Rayabaram, by Gummadi Gopalakrishna of Hyderabad
8:00pm - Gayopakhyanam, by Meegada Ramalinga Swamy of Visakhapatnam
27th April
6:30pm - Sati Savithri, by Ponnala Rama Subba Reddy of Nellore
8:00pm - Virat Pothuluri Veera Brahmendra Swamygari Charitra, by S Kanaka Rao of Khammam
