Yuvakalavahini, together with Sruthilaya Arts Academy, is organising a musical nite of P Susheela's songs, on 19th August, at Sri Thyagaraya Gana Sabha. On this occasion, veteran playback singer P Susheela will be felicitated by noted cine actor Jamuna.
The evening starts with the music nite in which amateur singers like D A Mitra, Amani, Venkat Rao, Subash and Gitanjali will be participating. They will be singing some hit numbers of the melody queen, like Vastaadu Naa Raju Ee Roju from Alluri Seetarama Raju, Aha Naa Pelliyanta from Maya Bazaar, Tummeda O Tummeda from Srinivasa Kalyanam, Adirindi Mama Adrindile from Janaki Ramudu, Aaraneekuma Ee Deepam from Karteeka Deepam, and Baalanu Raa Madanaa from Missamma.
Mayuri will present an Odissi recital soon after the musical nite, followed by the felicitation program. Yuvakalavahini will be present a cash award of Rs. 30,000, a silk shawl and a memento to P Susheela. The chief guest for the evening is Padmabhushan and Gnanpeeth awardee Dr. C Narayana Reddy, and the evening will be presided over by Saripally Kondala Rao, President of the International Institute of Telugu Culture.
