Ugadi is the time for awards. Ugadi puraskaras seem to be happening quite a bit around town.
Founded in the year 1977 by Raghuram, the Kinnera Art Theater has been conducting music festivals, dance festivals and 24 hour Ghantasala song festivals ever since its inception. And for 10 years now, it has also been organizing felicitations and award presentation functions to some of the renowned persons from the fields of music, literature, dance, social service, banking, theater, medical service, light music and print media.
Around 50 books have been published under the brand name of Kinnera and they all depict our rich culture and focus on the importance of our arts.
Kinnera has selected 12 members for this year's Ugadi Puraskar awards function, and their names are mentioned below:

The other two awardees are yet to be finalized.
The awards function will start with a Kuchipudi dance by child artist Srilekhya at 6.00pm. The Lok Sabha Speaker M C Balayogi will preside over the function as chief guest and will give away the awards.
