The ISITECH Business School is organising Oceana 2010, a national level techno-management fest, on 15th December at the college campus in Madinaguda, Miyapur. An event for budding minds to gather and share knowledge, this fest will have several technical as well as management and cultural competitions as under:
Scuba (Paper Presentation)
The event will be held in 2 phases. In Phase 1, the participants should upload the abstract on www.isitechbs.org/register.aspx website on or before 12th December. In Phase 2, the selected papers will be presented on 15th December. The topics for presentation are:
Management
Marketing & Logistics
Finance and Banking
Human Resources
Retail and IT sector
Engineering
Electronics and Communication
Electrical and Electronics
Computers and IT
Mechanica and Intrumentation
Pharma & Bio-Technology
Any topic related to pharma and bio-technology.
Blue Waters (Poster Presentation)
The format is same as paper presentation. The event will be held in 2 phases. In Phase 1, the participants should upload the abstract on www.isitechbs.org/register.aspx website on or before 12th December. In Phase 2, the selected posters will be presented on 15th December. Participants can choose any topic.
Oceanycoon (Business Plan Presentation)
This event will be held in 2 rounds. The first round involves selection of the presented plans, and the second round will feature presentation of selected presentations.
Crabby (Quiz Competition)
An ultimate test of intellect, skill and teamwork, participants just need to have a basic grip on current affairs and management, along with good general knowledge. This competition will have 2 rounds. A written test will be conducted in the respective campuses, and 8 teams will be selected in the first round. The selected teams compete in the final round at the ISITECH campus on the fest day.
Oceanascar (Short Film)
It is a 3-7 minute short film competition. The film can have any theme and can be shot anywhere.
Deep Sea (Best Ad)
The teams have to come up with an ad regarding a product or a service within a specified time. The topic is "Ingenious Motors India is planning to introduce a hybrid bike in all the metros of India". Participants will have to name the product, and create a brand that sends a message of environment friendliness. It should contain a tagline, a logo and an advertisement, which could either be a print ad or a television commercial.
Rainbow Fishes (Fashion Show)
Each participant should submit their photographs (minimum 2 in number) along with their personal details, and the details of the outfit for approval before the festival date. The judges panel would nominate the final participants, and they have to walk the ramp on the day of event.
Star Fish (Dance Competition)
A group event, each team should have a minimum of 5 participants, plus one person in charge of music, and one for lights. The team should have a theme for their sequence.
Oceana Beats (Rock Band Competition)
The participants should bring their own equipments. The best band will be declared the winner.
Shark Eye (Memory Game)
Participants will be shown different videos and questions will be asked from the shown video. The questions might be from any of the content shown in the videos.
Fishing A Job (HR Interview)
It is a stress interview to check the stress levels of the candidate. Everyone will get feedback along with suggestions. The fun part of it is that the rejected candidate will be jailed, and someone needs to bail him out of jail.
Jelly Flash (Snapshot Competition)
An in-campus snapshot competition, participants will be asked to shoot a 90-120 seconds film on any theme, or a theme that will be given at the time of registration.
