A tale of a bright young woman who inadvertently defies her mothers warning not to sing. Does this trigger the family curse? Or does she manage to prove it wrong and stay alive? Nha Fala or My Voice is the story of one such beautiful young African, Vita, who leaves her country for the first time, to study in Paris. Just before she departs, she is reminded by her mother of the curse that brings death to any female of the family who sings.
After reassuring her mother of not doing any such thing she leaves for Paris where she eventually falls in love with a young musician named Pierre. When he hears her sing with joy for the first time, he is amazed by her talent and persuades her to record an album. In her excitement she forgets about the curse untill its too late.
