The Department of Culture, in association with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, is organising the Navratri and Dussehra Cultural Festival, from 25th September to 3rd October, at Telugu Lalitha Kala Thoranam, Public Gardens.
Various folk music, dances, discourses and other forms of traditional culture mark the celebration of the 9-day festivities. The festival will be inaugurated by the chief guest M Satyanarayana, Minister for Culture, Sports and Cinematography, Government of Andhra Pradesh. Other guests for the inaugural function will be Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, Chairman of the A P Cultural Council, and Chitra Ramachandran, Secretary of the Heritage, Museum, Tourism and Cultural Department.
As part of the celerations, their will be cultural programs everyday for the 9 days, as per details given below:
