The 8 best school-teams of Hyderabad are going to be in action this week. One will win the battle, but all will win the war - staying away from classes!
The Hyderabad Cricket Association is conducting the 3rd edition of the Himalaya Chyavanaprash Cup Under-15 Inter-School Tournament, from the 27th of September to 4th of October.
Out of 56 school teams that participated in the tourney during the league stages held from 11th to 24th September, 8 school teams got selected for the final round of leagues matches on the basis of their performances. These eight teams are divided into two pools, with Pool A having Gowtham Model High School, Cal Public School, Samaritan's High School and Don Bosco, and Pool B comprising of St Andrew's High School, Mahbub College High School, All Saints High School and Neeraj Public School.
The matches will be played on a league basis. The top two teams from the two pools will clash in the semifinals on 30th September at Nizam College Grounds and IDPL Grounds, and the semifinal winners will play in the final on 4th October at Gymkhana Grounds.

1st Round - 27th September

2nd Round - 28th September

3rd Round - 29th September

Winners of Semi-Final 1 Vs Winner of Semi-Final 2 at Gymkhana Grounds
Hyderabad is the second edition of the tournament after the Bangalore edition, and will be followed by the Delhi, Jamshedpur, Ranchi and Bokaro rounds. The winners from each of these editions will compete for the Himalaya Champion's Trophy, which will be held at Bangalore in January next year.
