Daira Art Gallery is organising an exhibition titled Nano Art, from the 4th July till the 4th August. The timings of the show are 11am to 7pm.
23 young artists, from various parts of the country, are part of the show. Nano Art features over 200 works, and the paintings are approximately a square foot (1 x 1 foot) in size. The USP of the show is fact that the paintings are all highly affordable to buyers - each painting is priced at Rs. 1,000 each. The intent of the show is to make art more accessible to the public at large, and to try to initiate a momentum to make it a necessity rather than a luxury. Another significant motive of the gallery is to motivate the participating young artists to work consistently without diverting from their choosen fields, without letting a lack of funds deter them.
Established in 2001, Daira Centre For Arts And Culture is a creative space with an auditorium-cum-conference room, a workshop area, a design store, a library, a lounge and a cafeteria.
