Surreal imagery and disturbing scenes. If those phrases turn you on, this little Mexican wave of movies at Sarathi Studios is the right place to be.
The Hyderabad Film Club, in association with the Mexican Embassy in New Delhi and the Federation of Film Societies of India, is organising a Mexican Film Festival, from 16th to 18th August, at Sarathi Studios.
A total of 5 films directed by Luis Bunuel will be screened during the 3-day film festival, as given below:
16th August

7:30pm - Illusion Travels By Street Car

Luis Bunuel Portoles (22 February 1900 ? 29 July 1983) was a Spanish filmmaker who also acquired Mexican citizenship and worked in Spain, Mexico, France and the US. His films were known for their surreal imagery and disturbing scenes, including those in which chickens populate nightmares, women grow beards, and aspiring saints are desired by luscious women.
