Madame Brouette - An African Film By Moussa Sene Absa

A heady mix of comedy, romance and drama. Single mother Mati, also known as Mrs Wheelbarrow or 'Madame Brouette' makes a living by selling various goods in a market closeby. Divorced and living with her daughter, she decides to stay away from men until she meets a charming policeman who soon becomes her lover.

Only slowly does she realise, that he is no different from all the other corrupted bad men she had come across before. Things soon get out of hand and she feels she must take the matter into her own hands to reclaim the lives of her daughter and herself. What does she do? Only now, she has even society to contend with. Will she ever be socially accepted again?
