It is agreed by everyone that the most loved tennis player of our country over the years is from Hyderabad (Sania). It is also agreed by everyone that the best tennis courts in the country are in Hyderabad (SAAP Tennis Complex). If it is not agreed, then it is their problem. The only problem that we have is the slack of superstar players in the only WTA Tournament that happens in the city. Hyderabad Open kicks off without Mary Pierce this time around.
But that's not too much of a worry. Especially if we want the crowd's darling, Sania Mirza, to get through without many glitches. The tournament, however, stars at least 10 of the best players of the world including Tamarine Tanasugarn, Saori Obata, Nicole Pratt, and Jelena Kostanic, all top players in their countries. We can also see in action, the rising star of Indian women's tennis, Isha Lakhani, who got a wildcard into the tournament.
This is the only, and we repeat, the only WTA tournament in the entire wide world to have a free entry. A real delight to all the sport fanatics. In other parts of the world, you would have to spend almost a month's salary to get a courtside ticket, but here, all you gotta do is walk in.
So, come in to see some top class, top-seed action for free! Only in Hyderabad!
