With more and more Hyderabadis turning to the fine arts for cultural evolution, the number of cultural exhibits and art workshops has increased ten fold. Hyderabad has now become the hot bed for international art. So it seems but natural that after Delhi, this Land of the Nizams is the next and only halt for these Iranian pieces of art.
Organised at the Western Block of the Salar Jung Museum, this exhibit, by numerous Iranian artistes, is captivating to say the least. Renowned painter, Imam-e-Khomeni's paintings will be a show stealer. Close on his heels is the splendid enamel display of Ismail Khan. The display includes famous architectural models in vibrant colors, bringing with it that authentic Middle Eastern look. Wine decanters made of glass take extra-ordinary shapes to tease the conventional. The beautiful calligraphic works of Bhaktiar are also a must see. All in all an enthralling sneak peek into the art forms of Iran.
