Shilparamam, as part of its weekly program of classical music, is presenting a light music recital by Sharada this Sunday. Sharada, supported by Venkatesh on the keyboard and Shankar on the tabla, will sing some devotional keertanas of Sri Thyagaraja and Annamacharya. Some of these keertanas are:

Sharada is a movie playback singer, who has sung alongside Nagur Babu in a few movies. She participates mostly in program orchestras, and has been singing since the last 20 years. She has accompanied very high profile singers like Ramakrishna, late Madhavapeddi Satyam, Madhavapeddi Ramesh, Pithapuram Nageshwara Rao and S P Balasubrahmanyam, among others. She has also participated in various music shows of MAA TV.
Sharada started learning music at young age of 7, and initially learnt Carnatic music from Malladi Srirama Murthy and Challapalli Seetadevi in Eluru. Later, she completed her diploma in music from the Vijayawada Music College, and is a B-High graded artiste of the All-India Radio in light music. Having concentrated mostly on light music and film songs, she has been part of many musical nites organised in the city, and in various other cities of India. At present, she also teaches light music at her residence.
