As part of the Vijay Jawan Mela shopping festival, Shilparamam is presenting light music and devotional songs by B Sharada Sai, on 24th October. With Rajeshwara Rao on the keyboard, Anook on the flute and Sankar on the tabla, Sharada will start the recital with Kommala Vaali, followed by Pairagaali Sagindi, Madhumasam Vacchindi, Oho Oho Vasantama, Aamani Thotalo and Misa Misalu, among others.
Sharada is a movie playback singer, who sung alongside Nagurbabu in a few movies like Apparao Nela Tappadu and Dhanalakshmi I Love You. She participates mostly in program orchestras, and has been singing over the last 20 years. She has accompanied high profile singers like Ramakrishna, late Madhavapeddi Satyam, Madhavapeddi Ramesh, Pithapuram Nageshwara Rao and S P Balasubrahmanyam. She has also participated in various music shows of MAA TV.
Sharada started learning music at young age of 7, and learnt Carnatic music initially from late Malladi Srirama Murthy and Challapalli Seetadevi in Eluru. Later, she completed her diploma in music from the Ghantasala Music College, Vijayawada, under K V Brahmanandam and Pemmaraju Surya Rao, and is a B-High graded artiste of the All-India Radio in light music.
Having concentrated mostly on light music and film songs, she has been part of many musical nites organised in the city, and in various other cities of India. At present, she also teaches light music at her residence in Musheerabad.
