Lekhini Mahila Chaitanya Sahiti Samithi is staging a function for presentation of Sahiti awards for female literary experts for the year 2007, at Kala Subbarao Kala Vedika, this Thursday. The awards will be given away by the chief guest Acharya Nayani Krishna Kumari, Professor of Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, and a poet. The recipients of the awards are:
Reddy Kusuma Rama Rao Poetry Award to Sheela Subhadra Devi
Kasichayanula Surya Narayana Lakshmidevamma Literary Award to Kondavati Satyavathi
Nemalikanti Mahalaxmamma Literary Award to Balabhadrapatruni Ramani
Turaga Krishnamohan Literary Award to Yelamanchili Padmasri
On this occasion, a grand Kavi Sammelan will be organised by Acharya Sarat Jyotsnarani, in which Malladi Padmavati, Lalita Devi, Renuka Ayola, Somanchi Usharani, Sailaja Mitra, Tamirisa Janaki and Bala Saraswati will be participating.
The other guests for the evening are Dr Poranki Dakshina Murthy, Advisor to Kendra Sahitya Academy and a poet, and Dr Vasa Prabhavati, poet and a writer.
