Madhu Music Academy is organising a musical nite of Lata Mangeshkar songs, on 1st April, at the Ravindra Bharathi auditorium. About 25 melodious songs of Lata will be sung by amateur singers (mostly home-makers). Some of them are Kamalamma, Kamala Sastry, Ramaa Ashok Kumar, Udayalakshmi, Monon Mani and Savita Reddy.
Madhu Music Academy was established in 1996 and was inaugurated by Enamala Ramakrishna, the then Finance Minister of AP, at Ravindra Bharati. The Academy mostly conducts musical nites on Hindi songs, and has organised more than 75 musical nites in memory of Rafi, Asha Bhonsle, Lata Mangeshkar, Mukesh, Jikki and Ghantasala.
