CVR College of Engineering is organising its annual technical festival Ciencia 2K10, from 1st to 3rd April, at the college campus in Vastunagar, Ibrahimpatnam. It is a 3-day event that has a rich mix of technical as well as non-technical events, as given below:
Paper Presentation
Papers are invited under 3 different categories, CSE & IT, ECE & EIE, and EEE.
Poster Presentation
A picture speaks a thousand words more than mere sentences do, and that what the poster presentation contest is all about.
General Events
One Way Out
Imagine yourself lost in some meandering links and scores of Windows forms. The only way out is to answer a series of questions correctly. Make one mistake along the way and you'll find yourself exploring the dead-end paths.
Golden Design Challenge
This event spans two groups: Computer Science and Electronics. Each group will be given a challenge on some application, and participants need to design a prototype and present it in front of the judges.
Working Model Display
This event provides a platform for exhibiting one's radical and unconventional hardware/software innovationa.
Confidare
It is a general quiz which comprises general knowledge questions.
Just A Minute
Whack your brains to bring out your sapience within a minute.
Movieonics
Present your creative thought in the form of a short film or a documentary, and take away prizes.
Adventura
This is an outdoor event for those who are passionate about adventure. In Level 1 you balance a stick on your palm, move across a rope in a zigzag fashion, and there's also a ladder-drum-tub round. Level 2 involves circle jumping, paper width, and crawling under a cover.

Different robots compete in a knock-out tournament.
Micromouse
It is a self-contained machine designed to reach the centre of the maze in the shortest possible time.
Socceroo
Design a robot which plays soccer. The robot will compete with others in 1-1 matches.
RoboLine
The participants should build an autonomous robot that can follow the given path in the minimum possible time.
RoboCop
The aim is make a manual robot that can track the given maze in the minimum possible time against an opponent, as per the rules of the round.
Manhattan
The aim is to build a wired/wireless robot which can navigate through a disclosed/undisclosed environment under any circumstances whatsoever.
Cubix
Build an autonomous robot which can pick up 3 coloured cubes and place them in a white colored goal area using either an onboard or an overhead camera.

Multiplayer LAN racing contest to determine who outruns all and becomes the Most Wanted.
