It's easy to refer to them just school kids. Only, it's quite flattering for them - for, how many school kids are invited to perform at Shilparamam?
Shilparamam is presenting a Kuchipudi dance recital by T Poojitha and B Amani, as part of its weekly program of classical dance, this Sunday. The dance recital will start at 6:30pm, and will have solo items that will be performed separately by Amani and Poojitha.
Amani will be performing Vinayaka Koutvam, Krishna Shabdam, a Thyagaraja keertana Nagumomu Ganaleni and Kamala Trilochana, and Poojitha will perform Manasa Sancharare, Ramadas's Paluke Bangaramaye, Annamacharya's Alarulu Kuriyaga, Tarangam and finally the Tillana.
The orchestra support for the recital will be provided by Surya Prakash Rao with the nattuvangam, Vempati Srivalli Sarma with the vocal, Sridharacharya on the mridangam, Anil on the violin and Venkatesh on the flute.
Poojitha and Amani are disciples of Surya Prakash Rao. Poojitha is studying in 9th class while Amani is in 8th class. Both have performed at various venues in Hyderabad and at the temple towns of Yadagirigutta, Srikalahasti, Srisailam and Tirupati.
