Vishal's done more things by the age of 8 than several people do in a lifetime. This exhibition is just one demonstration of the talent of this boy genius.
Chitramayee - State Gallery of Fine Arts is organising an exhibition of drawings and paintings by child artist M Vishal Kumar, from 29th June to 1st July. Vishal is an 8-year-old multi-talent gifted child with an ability to excel in many activities and fields. His paintings are breathtaking considering his age.
A student of Sloka - The Hyderabad Waldorf School, he started attending a creative painting school right at the age of 3, after his parents realised his talent. Under the guidance of his teacher Dayakar Reddy, his talent has blossomed. He creates extraordinary paintings through his imagination and colors, doing mostly landscapes.
An allround boy genius, Vishal has won several prizes in drawing and also in sports. He won the 1st prize in the drawing competition at Hyderabad Central in 2004, and the 1st prize in the cartoon drawing competition at Prasads, the 2nd prize in the painting competitions held by Glaxosmithkline in 2006, and the Camel Colour Contest in 2006.
In addition, he has won several prizes in gymnastics, such as the 3rd, 2nd and 2nd prize in floor exercises in the years 2004, 2005 and 2006 respectively, the 1st prize in the allround and the parallel bars events in 2006 conducted by the Hyderabad District Gymnastics Association, the 2nd prize in the Inter-Summer Gymnastics Competitions in 2005, the 2nd prize in the table vault event conducted by the Warangal DGA, and the 3rd prize in the pair aerobatics events at the School Games of Andhra Pradesh in 2007. He is also good in swimming, skating and dancing.
