What is it about singing that makes the heart leap, the soul lift and the feet to break out dancing? What is it about singing in public that doesn't do any of those things? As an individual, one is adept at singing and feeling good about it. A collectivization of such delusional individuals gives rise to boy/girl bands.

Its far simpler to be sad at something all alone than lean on the crutch of your fellow loser. Hence, the concept of the Karaoke nights. You have the song of your choice playing, you have the mike and all you have to do is fill in the music with your voice. The words don't matter.

And if singing ain't your thing, and throwing peanuts at the person singing is, then you can just chill out with a drink. Don't toss it on the singer. They will eventually drown in their own voices.
